La Selva
A downloadable game for Windows
A Zelda-like game made during our 2nd year at Rubika. The idea was to do a Zelda like to learn Unity.
We chose to use a post-Renaissance uchronia
La selva is a carboniferous-like jungle that grew because of the spores Christophe Colomb brought from the new world. Due to its proliferation, most people in Europe died trying to resist and the few survivors live in walled-up cities.
In this game, you play as Amalia, a 16 years old girl whose father is missing and who tries to learn what happened to him...

I really love what's going on here! I don't think I had enough time to really get ahold of the combat system, but I liked what I saw of it. The art is gorgeous and the animations are really detailed! Though I think I ran into a bug or two in the big spider fight, and reading French is not my forte. Still, great work and I hope to revisit it if there are any updates planned! Even though I know student projects are usually on a tight schedule.
